Mobile Phone Technology and Forensics

Join us for an exclusive, two-day training session specifically tailored for law enforcement professionals. This course will provide comprehensive insights into the types of evidence available from mobile phone providers and demonstrate how this evidence can be crucial in solving criminal investigations. Imagine securing proof that places your suspect at the crime scene. Led by Detective Sergeant Matthew Rowles, a court-recognized expert in mobile phone forensics and technology, this training is a must for all law enforcement personnel.

The training will cover several areas such as:

· Introduction to mobile phone technology and mobile networks

· Types of evidence held by mobile phone providers and how to obtain it

· Provider-specific terminology, processes, and retention periods

· Specialized location information

· Statutes applicable to your state governing the use of this evidence

· Preparing proper legal processes to obtain records (updated case law)

· Steps to take once records are obtained from the provider

· Interpreting and analyzing call detail records

· Introduction to basic call detail record mapping

· Area searches, geo-fencing, tower dumps, ping orders

· Investigative resources to streamline your work

· Case studies demonstrating each step of the process, including information acquisition and its use in arrests or prosecutions
